- Professionals who are dedicated to freelance work and have worked as a freelancer for 2+ years
- Active professional affiliations with organizations that provide standards, continuing education, creativity and exposure to resources
- No AOL; prefer non-MAC unless area of expertise is graphics
- Dedicated business phone line, cell phone access, fax capability
- Demonstrated continual learning in your specific area of expertise
- Demonstrated expertise – samples of work, portfolio, recommendations
- Recognized authority in field of expertise – author, lecturer, trainer, recognized authority, etc., is a bonus
- Website covering your services is a bonus
